Designer Handbags for Rent

 by: Cathy Feldman

I was surfing the net the other day, and came across an article that left me flabbergasted. As you all likely know by now, I am a designer handbag fanatic.
There have been months where I have seriously considered bouncing my rent check in order to buy a purse I simply could not do without.
Who am I kidding?
I have bounced my rent to buy a new handbag!
And I would likely do it again.

Well, it appears that my dilemma has come to an end.
I was surfing the net the other day, and came across an interesting article.
It was about the burgeoning industry of designer handbag rentals!
Now I have heard of luxury car rentals and even designer wedding dress rentals, but I never imagined a day when I could rent the latest Chanel purse.
Can you picture yourself going into Blockbuster Handbags and renting the purse you have been saving your money for?
I know I can!

There is a company called Bag Borrow or Steal that, as far as I can tell, is the first of a kind.
They have a wonderful website, and a business model like no other.
It is very similar to Netflix or something to that effect, but you rent handbags instead of the latest DVD.
Somewhat similar to renting videos, you pay annual subscription fee and you are given access to a collection of beautiful handbags to use on a temporary basis.
The type of bag you are allowed to borrow is determined by your membership level.
Memberships range from $19.95 to $174.95 per year.
You can keep the bag for as long as you like, but it must remain in the condition you received it in.
I wonder if they have an insurance plan.

After doing some research, I discovered another company that is offering something similar.
They are called From Bags to Riches, and their service are slight different from the company mentioned above.
Instead of charging an annual membership fee, this company allows you to rent on a weekly or monthly basis.
The price of the rental is determined by the duration and type of bag you want to rent.
This site organizes their collections by brand name, and monthly rentals range from $$19.90 to $79.80.
They also offer their customers the option to purchase their rented purse, if they cannot bring themselves to return it.
They know me so well, don?t they?

DVR: Digital Video Recording. What You Need To Know

The Digital Revolution is upon us.... In fact, it?s been

sneaking up on us for a long time with devices such

as calculators, digital watches, and many other

consumer goods, not to mention the devices we

actually use but see very little of. Such devices are

common to us in "the first person" in the form of

many automotive controls in our car, and indirectly

common to us if we fly.. things like aircraft engines,

etc.

But the first area possibly to have a major impact in

terms of comparison has been in the cameras we

use. This effects us both in camcorders and
in the

still cameras. While the purist will probably always

win the argument that the film camera gives greater

quality control than the digital, there are those who

would argue against this principal very vociferously.

Now, most Americans who own a TV are about...

Tips for Getting the Most Life Out of Your Laptop Battery

Tips for Getting the Most Life Out of Your Laptop Battery

 by: Eve Larson

As more and more people are becoming part of the mobile workforce and using laptop or tablet PC?s battery life is often a primary concern. Today?s portable computers use lithium-ion batteries instead of older style nickel-cadmium power sources. In addition to being able to hold a greater charge, lithium is also very light weight, another important concern for portable computers.

When you are purchasing your computer investigate if a long-life battery is available. While it will add to the cost it can give up to double the usage of a normal battery. To get the most usage out of your battery you?ll need to understand a little bit about how batteries work. Each battery has a limited number of charge cycles. If your battery lasts for 4 hours and on the first day you use it for 2 hours and then recharge it fully and the next day you use it for 2 hours again and then fully recharge...

Don't Fall Into This Trap....

Don't Fall Into This Trap....

 by: Richard Grady

One of the most common problems that people make when starting their online business is creating a website or product that people don't want.

Sounds crazy doesn't it?
But it's true.
I have heard from several people in the past that have emailed me to say that they have built a site but despite having worked to get top search engine rankings, they are not making any sales.

Here's the thing - it is no good having your website at the number one position on Google for the keyword 'tomato soup' if no one ever searches for 'tomato soup'!

Therefore one of the most important things to do when you are considering starting any new website business is research - see if anyone actually wants what you are going to offer them. Think of it like this, if you wanted to open a restaurant you would do some research to see if the local residents wanted your restaurant and whether they would...

Batteries - Charging ahead

Batteries - Charging ahead

 by: Eric Comforth

In these days of walk-and-talk and walk-and-work, battery chargers are as much a necessity to business as a microwave oven is to the kitchen. Cell phones, laptops, notebooks, and camcorders, just to mention a few.

But how do they work? Here are some types of battery chargers explained:

? Solar battery chargers: These little gems use the sun?s energy to recharge batteries. From car, boat and motorbikes to cell phones, DVD players and computers, there is a solar battery charger to suit.

? Automotive battery chargers: Most automotive battery chargers simply attach to the vehicle?s battery terminals and plug in to mains power. However, there are now new products on the market that work to prevent the battery from going flat in the first place.
To comprehend how the process works it is important to understand what causes a battery to deteriorate.

Car batteries rely on a chemical...
